A distillery at the base of a volcano
The brand’s distillery is nestled at the base of this long inactive volcano, whose last eruption left the region’s soil extremely fertile. Its name (meaning ‘land of the volcano’) pays homage to the Jalisco region’s heritage and the founding family’s ethos of community, passion and commitment.
One of few tequila brands to have its own distillery, Volcan De Mi Tierra follows a distinctive distillation process. It’s crafted using 100% Blue Agave (with no additives). The very best plants are selected from two regions of Jalisco: the Lowlands and Highlands. Each is distilled separately before blending, to create a complex and refined finished product.
Combining history and tradition with innovation
Arising from a collaboration between the Gallardo family and Moët Hennessy, this new partnership combines the family’s authentic Mexican credentials, and passion for the homeland, with Moët Hennessy’s craftsmanship, heritage and luxury reputation.

Two distinct expressions of tequila
The spirit can be purchased in two separate expressions Blanco or Cristalino. Volcan De Mi Tierra Blanco is a bespoke blend of agave terroirs, with herbal, spicy aromas from the Lowlands, and fruity, floral notes from the Highlands. Use it to form a base for cocktails, or drink it neat or with ice cubes.
Volcan De Mi Tierra Cristalino is an añejo tequila, aged for months with a variety of cask finishes. Naturally filtered to create clear liquid, its flavours are deep and aromatic with notes of dried fruits, chocolate, vanilla and cooked agave. Cristalino is best imbibed neat or over ice.
