The Bonded Rye stands out as the distillery’s commitment to excellence, bottled at a robust 100-proof (50% alcohol by volume). This release is noteworthy not only for its Bottled-in-Bond designation but also as the first rye whiskey of its kind from Jack Daniel’s. Crafted with a meticulous grain bill comprising 70% rye, 18% corn, and 12% malted barley, the whiskey undergoes charcoal mellowing before ageing in new, handmade American white oak barrels.
This process yields a whiskey rich in nuanced flavours – beginning with sweet dried fruit, it unfolds into layers of toffee and caramel, culminating in a rye spice finish that is both complex and impeccably balanced.
