The sustainability plan ‘Born to Protect’ by Italian label Moncler welcomes a new instalment this month. Jackets for men, women and children have been constructed using recycled and sustainable materials including regenerated nylon to 100% Down Integrity System and Traceability (DIST) certified down.
The ‘Born to Protect’ collection aligns with three of the five core sustainability pillars the brand ethos works towards including; a focus on climate action using recycled materials, promoting a circular economy from the use of Econyl nylon on fabrics and hardware and finally fair sourcing – demonstrated with the 100% DIST certification for all down used in items since 2015.

Moncler has selected black as the colour for this collection – due to its universal appeal and to help reinforce the message that everyone can support sustainability. The “Born to Protect” insignia is displayed on both the exterior and interior of each jacket and all packaging is paper sourced from responsibly managed forests. Gift boxes and shopping bags are also made from recycled paper.
