TAG Heuer Carrera‘s heritage–inspired line gets a fiery red makeover, breathing new energy into the elegant chronograph.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition is based on the same simple, understated and easy-to-read design that made the Heuer Carrera a favourite among demanding racing drivers on and off the track. The original Heuer Carrera reference 2447’s distinctive lugs and pushers have been retained, but scaled up to a contemporary 39mm size. The indexes and hour and minute hands are faceted, rhodium-plated and coated with Super-LumiNova® for optimum readability.
The TAG Heuer Carrera collection features a brand new style with a deep red dial under a glass box. The use of red is a TAG Heuer signature that has been present throughout the decades in various ways, such as the brand logo, red tachymeter scale on the 1960s Heuer Carreras, bright red hands on the Heuer Monaco, or Ayrton Senna’s favourite chronograph. The colour is core to the TAG Heuer identity.
This interpretation of the classic timepiece in crimson makes a statement and brings new energy. The face is sunray brushed while the three chronograph counters – hours, minutes and permanent second indicator – are snailed, bringing a subtle contrast and mesmerizing play of light to the wrist. The dial naturally sports the emblematic Heuer logo and Carrera name.
The in–house high–precision chronograph movement of the watches, the Calibre Heuer 02, is personalized with touches of red on the column wheel and oscillating mass engravings, which can be observed through the sapphire crystal case back. This movement has an outstanding power reserve of 80 hours.
The TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition is a true collectors’ watch, limited to 600 pieces. Each watch will carry the mentions “ONE OF 600” and “Limited Edition” on the case back. The TAG Heuer Carrera Red Dial Limited Edition expresses the uniquely elegant and sporty character of its emblematic past, with an added touch of flair and modernity.
